How Do You Use A Needle Threader

If you attempt to use a wire threader to thread thick thread through a small needle eye you may pull the wire loop off of the needle threader.

Make your own needle threader. Insert your thread through the loop of wire on the needle threader. Inset the wire loop to the needle eyes and bring the threader body close to the needle. To use this threader you put the end of the metal wire through the eye of the needle.

Hold both the needle threader and needle in one hand while keeping the loop of wire on the needle threader through the eye of the needle. Then insert the wire loop on the threader through the eye of the needle. Pull the thread through the loop so you get an inch of wire to hold. Next pass the end of some thread through the loop and bring it back down over the loop so it s wrapped around it.

Then place the thread through the wire and pull it back through the eye of the needle. A small but significant problem had while sewing is threading the needle. Then with your other hand gently pull the needle away from the threader handle and back up the wire. Pull the thread through the eye of the needle hold the thread with one hand making sure the loop doesn t fall off the threader wire.

Hold the threader handle between the thumbs and forefinger of your dominant hand. A floss needle threader is very similar to wire threader in that it is used to create a larger opening to push the thread through. When you pull the needle completely off the wire the thread will pass through the eye of the needle. A wire needle threader can be used for most sewing machine needles however it works best with medium to lighter weight thread.
