How Do You Make Apple Cider Vinegar
Olivia Luz

To make apple cider vinegar simply leave an open container of apple cider out to ferment naturally.
To make apple cider vinegar first cut some apples into small chunks until you have enough to almost fill a quart sized liter sized sterilized jar. When i make applesauce i typically do large quantities at a time so i have enough peels and cores for a batch of apple cider vinegar. First it will turn into hard apple cider with enough of an alcohol content to make most people a little tipsy. In the first step the naturally occurring yeasts present on the skins of the apples turn the raw apple cider into hard cider or apple wine.
Use them as a gentle rejuvenating face mask. You can use any kind of apple and don t worry about removing the cores seeds or stems. Add them to the compost bin for fertilizing the garden. Or your scraps are either way it is now time to mix your sugar with water.
If you only occasionally use apples you can store the peels and cores in the freezer until you have enough gathered to start a batch. Dry them out at a low temperature less than 150 f 65 c in a food dehydrator or a warm oven. Now a good estimate is usually equal teaspoons of sugar to the amounts of apples. If you used 3 apples then you ll need around 3 teaspoons of raw sugar.
