How Big Is A Vinyl Record Cover
Olivia Luz

Vinyl records have reached a limitation in competition with modern media.
Cds generally store around 60 minutes of music whereas an album made for vinyl is capped at around 45 minutes if it takes advantage of both sides of the disk. Records come in a range of different flavors based on competition and consumer tastes. The size of the typical cardboard lp sleeve cover is 12 375 in 31 43 cm square. Records in the 78 rpm format were usually sold with 10 inch covers but are uncommon today.
Each side can generally store up to 22 minutes of music. Vinyl record album covers are usually 12 inches by 12 inches for lp albums. Starting in the mid 1990s the compact disc cd was the most common form of physically distributed music products. The largest record size is a 12 inch album.
